Layout Update Mondays: Highball to Indy 2016

I'm excited to announce the Tribute to Springfield layout has been invited to be displayed at the 2016 National Train Show which will be held on July 8-10, 2016, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN.  The railroad will be setup with the Mohegan Pequot Model Railroad Club's HO scale modular railroad.

This will be the third National Train Show for the club and my fifth.  Back in 2014, we brought our HO scale layout to Cleveland, OH, and in 2009 we displayed at the show in Hartford, CT.  This will be, by far, our longest journey with the layouts outside of our home base in New England - but we are very excited about the trip.

Obviously, this show will keep me busy for the next few months as my goal is to have everything done - including the interiors of the buildings and a few animated features for the railroad. My plan is to share a number of these items over the next couple of months as we get closer to the event.
