Showtime: 2020 Railroad Hobby Show Preview

Cromulent Terminal Railroad - O Scale Model Railroad
The Cromulent Terminal layout setup at the 2019 Great Train Extravaganza in Albany, NY.

Less than a month until the doors open for the annual Amherst Railway Society Railroad Hobby Show!  This will be a bit of a different year as I have finally decided to retire the Tribute to Springfield layout and build something new. My new club has been focusing on building table top modules which were on display last year. My friends Andrew and Nate each built HO scale table top modular layouts - the Elk Creek Logging Co. and Dismal Creek Railroad, respectively. I decided to stay with 2-rail O scale and build a point to point New England scenic railroad called the Cromulent Terminal Railroad which embiggins the art and spirit of tabletop modular railroading.

As usual, the lead up to the show has been busy working on the layout. This weekend I celebrated the annual holiday of "Springfield is in how many days!?" by participating in traditions such as playing the "I know this tool is around here somewhere" game in the workshop and writing out my last minute wish list for dear ol' St. Hobby Shop.

Progress on the Cromulent Terminal layout this weekend in the workshop.

All three layouts are anticipated to be setup at section 74 in the Young Building under the A Modular Railroad Club banner.

As usual, I'm very excited about the show and hope to see you there.  As a reminder, below are some links to official show sites if you need up to the minute information about the show.

If you are coming to the show, make sure to stop by and say hi. See you January 29th-30th, 2020 at the Railroad Hobby Show!
